ABATE of Florida, Inc. recognizes that rider education is an important part of motorcycle safety. Statistics show that uneducated and inexperienced riders are at greater risk.
Florida law requires a motorcycle endorsement on your driver’s license
to legally operate a motorcycle. As of July 1, 2008, completion of
a 15-hour approved Basic Rider Course (BRC) is required for all
motorcyclists who wish to obtain a motorcycle endorsement or motorcycle
only license.
Many locations offer an experienced rider course as well as the Basic Rider
Course. Here is the Florida Department of Highway Safety & Motor
