Caloosahatchee Chapter

Well another year has passed for the board of directors and we have just had our elections, so I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every person on the board that committed themselves to making this chapter what it is today. Without your hard work and dedication we could not have achieved what we did. I thank you for this from the bottom of my heart, I know that it is a lot of hard work that goes without a lot of recognition. Job Well Done!

Now I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all the new people that have decided to get involved with the board in this upcoming year. I thank you for having the courage and strength to feel that you can make a difference in your chapter. I look forward to working with each and every one of you to make this chapter even better. Remember that we should all as members and board members take the time to think about how we can make the chapter better as a whole. If everyone in our chapter made a commitment to bring one person on board for the next year our membership would double. In turn this would help our organization and our lobbyist fight for motorcyclists rights. Also thank you for letting me be your President over the last year and thanks for your confidence in me for this upcoming year.

I would also like to personally say hello to all of our new members and welcome into the family. If you have not received your membership packet as of yet, please contact Trudi Steel your new elected membership trustee. She will make sure you do!

I would also like to thank all of our new advertisers for their support! Each of you are an asset to the success of our chapter as a whole. Remember members to please stop by and support our advertisers, tell them that you are an ABATE member and more importantly that you saw their ad in the Caloosahatchee News!

Please remember that on July 26th we will be having the 5 Star Annual Event at Peace River Campgrounds. This is an opportunity where all five chapters work together hand in hand to protect motorcycle rights and promote safety. I am asking that each and every one please make an attempt to come out and support this event. This will be one not to miss. Tons of prizes one of the best Rolling Stones Tribute Bands the south has ever seen and camping to boot if you choose to do so. If you call any of your board you can get tickets for $25.00 the day of the event the entry fee will be $30.00. If you feel like you would like to help out in any way feel free to call our new Vice President Roy Steel or our Sgt. At Arms Ron Ruban, as we still need help.

On a last note just want everyone to know your anniversary party will be held at the Cape Coral Tiki Hut on Miramar St. along with Cape Paradise Resort, this is going to be a Saturday event that will roll into the night. We will have biker Olympics challenging other chapters in various events, the winning chapter will take home the trophy until next year, so come on out and help us celebrate and keep the trophy home where it belongs! Also there will be discount room rates available, drink specials, food specials, live entertainment, don’t MISS THIS ONE, this is your party for your chapter. If you can’t make anything all year stop by and say hi at this one and meet some of your brothers and sisters as well as your new board of directors.
